Mariachi Femenil Orgullo Mexicano began our journey as the first all female Mariachi in the San Francisco, Bay Area (Northern California) in 2007. This distinct female ensemble is comprised of 10 women of varying ages and diverse backgrounds but our passion and respect for music is what unites us.

Our rich sound and lively musicianship is the product of each member's passion, discipline and experience resulting in a strong yet elegant image. We have performed at many private parties and local community events including: being featured in the San Francisco Cinco de mayo celebration in 2009, profiled in Univision television network, featured for Oakland Santa Cecilia's celebration, and have performed for the Oakland Raiders home game.

We have a strong focus on education and support each other in their musical and academic educational endeavors. As a group we are committed to making a difference in our communities and providing a supportive venue for young women to express themselves artistically, enhance confidence and develop leadership skills. Playing always with pride, Mariachi Femenil Orgullo Mexicano is honored to represent the Mexican Culture, the Mariachi tradition and Women in the Arts.

With the strong focus on education, some of our lovely ladies are off to college, so here it is:
